Where did you grow up?
I was born in a wind-tunnel and raised by a family of Asian-leprechauns. We were very poor. My Uncle Sandbar had a childhood dream of opening a zoo for oddly shaped mules. Became a Christian
I grew up in a Christian home. I remember hating Sunday School, in fact I was kicked out of Sunday School when I was about 4 years old! I hated it so badly that I beat up a little girl that was sitting next to me. Needless to say the teacher was not happy with me and quickly ushered me out to my Grandparents who were very, VERY involved in the church so it was quite embarrassing for them. So the next time I was even in a youth group was when I was 12 years old and attending X-Factor youth group at Hoffmantown. I remember being in this HUGE crowd of kids jumping around and having a great time and then came the word. It was the first time I think I really understood what salvation meant and how great of a gift it is! Before that when I would hear a pastor say "it's the best gift ever!" I would think Pshhhhh! Give me a brand new stereo instead, at least that's something I can use! So I gave my life at that point and I was so excited and realized that Salvation truly is the BEST GIFT YOU CAN RECEIVE! I don't know what I would have done without Christ in my life over the years since.

Why are you a DJ
Well, it just sort of happened. I'm also an Event Coordinator here and the opportunity came up so I gave it a shot and here I am. I do really enjoy it! It keeps my job interesting.

Hobbies/Interests
I love being active, playing Volleyball, biking, bowling, golfing (although I'm not very good). Comic book reader/collector, nerdy I know. I also love arts and crafts, drawing, making stuff and my all time favorite and old career - being a Florist! I do miss it and will still do some work on the side to keep in running through my blood. Weddings and Events are my all time favs to do! They are where you can have the most fun and get really creative!

Family:
I have been married for 6 years to my wonderful Husband Mikey. Together we have 3 furry children: Kara Zor-El is a pit-bull mix, Awesome Andy is a Corgi/Chi mix and Butterfinger is a chocolate colored mini dachshund. Mmmmmmm chocolate. Oh! Don't worry, I won't eat my dog. My parents are still alive and married. I am also the youngest of 6 kids.

Randomness:
- Height? 5' 2 1/2", yep, the 1/2 is important when you are as short as I am.
- Weight? You don't ask a girl her weight unless you want to get punched in the face.
- Favorite color? Purple
- First car? 1988 Ford Tempo, painted purple! Don't hate, it was awesome.
- Favorite food? If I could live off of cake, ice cream, cookies, candy and all that junk, I so would!

- Coffee or tea? I cannot stand coffee or tea. I have no clue why, I've really tried to like both but my taste buds reject it.

There was never just one moment where God appeared to me in rolling clouds and thunder or anything. I grew up with a mom that faithfully took us to church every week. When it came to my senior year of high school and first year of college, I began to realize some things... that I was a Christian because I was taught to be. While there's good things about that from a Christian point of view, if I was being intellectually honest, I'd have to admit I hadn't given much thought as to why I claimed to have this belief. It was a hard thing to realize, but over the last several years I've tried to shed off the fake, fix-it-quick Christian phrases. I wanted to be as raw and real as possible. Since then, it's been an amazing time as I've had a personal revelation of the reality of God, and it's exciting(!). I promise to never say or claim anything about the Lord that I cannot be an absolute true witness to. If I say something that rings Christianese, it's because I really can't find better words for it. That being said, maybe there are deeper truths behind many of the cliches that drive us nuts. That's something I love talking about on Christianese Dictionary! Hang out with Dan & I on Mondays from 5-6PM! To sum up this little bio though, I will say that I want to be a true witness for Christ, not a taught robot.

Why are you a DJ
Are you kidding me? It's the best job ever. I get to connect with people all over the place & encourage them toward Christ. Or tell really cheesey jokes.

When it comes to music: Not gonna lie, I can't stand hardcore. I'm turning into an indie-pop nerd.

Though I have a specific date/place/time of when I confessed Jesus as my Lord and Savior, it was a process of letting Him actually be my Lord. I'd say that actually happened throughout the next year. Moment after moment, trial after trial, God really revealed what it meant...

Those times of being unsure of what God was doing in my life has made me so confident that He will never leave me or forsake me. That He truly is my Rock.

Wow. That's a question. I was really good at answering phones as a front desk receptionist, and so I guess they thought I could talk into a mic professionally.

Coffee, Reading the Bible, and taking a picture of me at a local coffee shop drinking coffee while reading the bible.

Tattoos?
I have way too many to count. My next tattoo I'm working on is an image of Superman with myself almost out of focus in the background because I've always felt like I was the main character in my story. It wasn't until Christ showed me that I realized I'm kind of just a background player in His overwhelmingly amazing story. So I wanted to get something that represented me being in the background--you know, second.

Bands?
Hands down, Blindside is my absolute favorite band. Thrice is a close second.
