God calls us to love Him and to love all people (Mark 12:30-31.) He makes it very clear that if we are to exemplify the name of Christ we must live as he intended us to live and follow those two very important commandments… But why is it so hard sometimes *hem hem*…all the time? We meet someone, they leave a bad first impression, they eventually wrong us, shenanigan after shenanigan arises, and eventually you just don’t want anything to do with that specific person… Then another person comes into your life, and the cycle repeats itself. There are so many responses that go into even attempting to love those around you, and this song addresses many of them.
What do we do? What can we do? 1 Corinthians 13 tells us what love is. Without love, anything we do or say is without profit. So, here’s the answer: We forgive. We strive for loving kindness, and longsuffering like Jesus so perfectly illustrated throughout His life on earth. We bear all things, believe all things, hope all things, and endure all things.
Now, examine yourself. What about any relationship in your life is making you “mu-mu-mu-mu-mu-mad-mad-mad,” and how can YOU change your perspective on the situation at hand?
