At Static Radio, we drown out the noise—all the junk the world pushes out at us as acceptable content. The gospel we relay is unchanging; so we shoot straight to the character of the gospel. It is unchanging, unwavering, and doesn't need to "present itself" as relevant because the fact is: it is. It is so real that sometimes it hurts, convicts, and even offends. The word static means (among other things) "showing little or no change; constant." In technology, static means "unaffected by the passage of time, or the presence or absence of power."
What are we trying to do? Entertain? Present a worldview? Be "real" or "relevant"? In a unique ministry like radio, it's all of the above. We leave a mark in the community and all over the world in a way that points directly to Christ. We provide an alternative to all the junk that other radio "offers." We entertain without sinking down to the same old stale jokes and gossip talk that you can find anywhere. Most importantly, we consistently present the gospel of Christ in a loving, authentic, and relevant way.
When you listen to Static Radio you'll hear artists like The Temper Trap, Thrice, Blindside, Arcade Fire, Johnny Cash, Owl City, and Cold War Kids.
